University College Cork
University College Cork (UCC), located in Cork—Ireland’s second-largest city—was established in 1845. It is one of the Ireland’s oldest universities and was originally founded as one of the three Queen’s Colleges. Ranked among the top 1% of universities worldwide, UCC holds the 246th position in the latest QS World University Rankings, with eleven of its subject areas placed within the global top 200. Over the past 12 years, it has been awarded the title of “University of the Year” five times—more than any other university in Ireland. UCC is also internationally recognized for its outstanding student support, career guidance, and internship services.

In 2010, University College Cork was awarded the “Green Campus” title by the Foundation for Environmental Education, becoming the world’s first university to receive the “Green Flag”. It has been ranked among the top 10 in the world for green and sustainable development universities for nine consecutive years and is the only Irish university selected for this list.
