On November 19, 2025, as ginkgo leaves drifted gently and winter quietly approached, our lively English Corner — English Playground — came to a warm and joyful close.
During this event, we set aside the nervousness of speaking English and turned language learning into a journey filled with courage, laughter, and connection.
We were no longer just learning English — we were truly playing English.

Part 1：破冰 Icebreaker / Speak
活动由主持人李馨妤热情洋溢的双语开场正式拉开序幕。她向大家阐释了本次活动的核心精神：Speak, Laugh, Connect。
The event kicked off with an enthusiastic bilingual introduction by our host, Gayle, who highlighted the core spirit of the day: Speak, Laugh, Connect.
【分组破冰】
Icebreaker: Group Formation
每位参与者抽取一张颜色卡片，寻找自己的“颜色小组”。在轻松的氛围中，每个人都用英语介绍了自己，迈出了开口说的第一步！瞬间拉近了彼此的距离。
Each participant drew a color card to find their "color team", introducing themselves in English.
The relaxed atmosphere encouraged everyone to take the first brave step in speaking up, instantly bringing participants closer together.
Part 2：连接与学习/Connect & Learn
【主题小课堂：A Day at the Amusement Park】
Theme Mini-Lesson: A Day at the Amusement Park
紧接着，主持人馨妤带来了一场生动的主题小课堂，带领大家“云游”游乐园，学习游乐园常用词汇与表达。
从“Ferris wheel”（摩天轮）到“roller coaster”（过山车），从询问“How long is the queue?”（队伍排多长？）到讨论“Which ride do you want to try first?”（你想先玩哪个项目？），实用的词汇与表达，为接下来的游戏环节做足准备！
Next, Gayle led a lively themed mini-lesson, taking everyone on a “virtual tour” of an amusement park while learning useful words and expressions.
From “Ferris wheel” to “roller coaster,”from asking “How long is the queue?”to discussing “Which ride do you want to try first?”these practical expressions prepared everyone for the game session ahead!
Part 3：欢笑与交流——游戏开始！/Laugh & Connect — Game On！
短暂的茶歇后，活动进入了最激烈的积分竞赛环节！三个创意十足的游戏，让现场秒变“英语游乐场”。
After a short tea break, the most exciting point-system competition began!
Three creative games instantly transformed the room into a true English Playground.
游戏一：Emoji 密码 · 表情猜词游戏
Game 1: Emoji Code · Guess the Word
屏幕上，一个个由表情符号组成的“密码”等待着被破解。
同学们争先恐后地举手抢答，脑洞大开。每当有人准确猜中，全场便报以恍然大悟的欢呼和掌声！
On the screen, emoji “codes” waited to be deciphered.
Students raised their hands eagerly, sparks of creativity flying.
Every correct guess was met with laughter, applause, and delighted surprise!
游戏二：Meme 研究所 · 幽默解读
Game 2: Meme Lab · Humorous Interpretation
这是一个不仅考验英语，更考验“网感”的游戏！面对流行的英文梗图，大家需要描述画面并精准点出“笑点”所在。
This game tested not only English skills but also everyone’s sense of Internet humor.
Participants described English memes and pinpointed the punchline — often with hilarious results.
游戏三：你画我猜 · 灵魂画手
Game 3: Pictionary · Soul Doodler
最经典的「你画我猜」（Pictionary）以小组接力的形式进行！每位组员仅有10秒作画时间，要将“merry-go-round”（旋转木马）、“haunted house”（鬼屋）等词条传递下去。
一时间，现场充满了抽象的线条、同伴焦急的提示和猜中后的欢呼。这不仅是对词汇量的考验，更是团队默契的终极挑战！
The classic Pictionary game was played relay-style!
With only 10 seconds to draw words like “merry-go-round” or “haunted house” teams burst into frantic scribbles, urgent whispers, and triumphant cheers.
It was a test of vocabulary — and an ultimate challenge of team chemistry!
Part 4：Speak · 终极挑战/Speak · The Ultimate Challenge
游戏环节意犹未尽，终极挑战——英文绕口令重磅来袭！
各小组在两分钟内紧张练习，随后推选代表上台挑战。台上选手念得面红耳赤、台下组员听得屏息凝神，紧接着便是鼓励的掌声与欢笑。无论是“A big black bug bit a big black bear”还是“Frisky Freddy found five fine friends for the flying fox”，大家都挑战自我，乐在其中！
The excitement continued with the final round — English Tongue Twisters!
Teams practiced intensely for two minutes before sending representatives to the stage.
From “A big black bug bit a big black bear” to “Frisky Freddy found five fine friends for the flying fox,”participants challenged themselves courageously, filling the room with laughter and applause.
活动尾声
Event Conclusion
愉快的时光飞逝，工作人员迅速统计出本次活动的冠军小组！主持人为他们颁发了精心准备的奖品——超级马里奥小夜灯。同时，每一位参与的同学都获得了一枚精美的秋日树叶金属书签作为纪念。
活动的最后，所有人手持纪念品，在镜头前绽放出灿烂的笑容，齐声高喊出口号：“Speak, Laugh, Connect!”一张大合影，为这个充实而快乐的秋日下午，画上了温暖的句号。
As the joyful afternoon came to an end, the champion team was announced and awarded a Super Mario night light.
All participants received beautifully crafted autumn-leaf metal bookmarks as souvenirs.
With gifts in hand, everyone gathered for a group photo, smiling brightly as they shouted the slogan together:“Speak, Laugh, Connect!”
A warm and memorable snapshot — marking a wonderful end to this autumn day.
